Self Respect

Everyone is so special!! Really, EVERYONE....
I am unique in someway, you are in another..
And that's why Self Respect is just so essential to our well being as humans.
Self Respect isn't just the feeling of loving yourself because it's you ..
Self Respect is the first step in the way to self-confidence.

How to achieve it ?

First, you have to admit that you must be unique, maybe even better than your ideal or role model ...
Naturally, you start searching for what makes you better than others. When you put those reasons clear in front of your eyes, you start gaining confidence and appreciation for being different and special ( Even if your qualities aren't recognized or cared about from the society... You can drive attention to what the society hasn't been noticing )
Eventually, you gain more Self Respect and you believe that GOD gave you a great gift (YOURSELF), that you must be grateful and appreciative for this gift and give what it deserves from you. It deserves respect, love, hard work, and improvement. If you don't care for yourself as you should, then you don't deserve this great gift from GOD.

It's a very simple Equation:

KNOWING YOUR SELF WORTH+IMPROVING YOURSELF+SELF DISCIPLINE=SELF RESPECT+ CONFIDENCE= GREAT POWER TO FACE ANYTHING AND ANYONE

No man who is occupied in doing a very difficult thing, and doing it very well, ever loses his self-respect.
George Bernard Shaw

Self-respect is the fruit of discipline; the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.

Abraham Joshua Heschel

The great thing in the world is not so much to seek happiness as to earn peace and self-respect.

Thomas Huxley

To free us from the expectations of others, to give us back to ourselves - there lies the great, singular power of self-respect.

Never violate the sacredness of your individual self-respect.
Theodore Parker

I wasn't in school often enough to really belong to a 'clique,' but my friends all studied hard and got pretty good grades. They were good people with self-respect. I still like to be friends with people I admire something about; I really believe that we become like the people we're surrounded by, so I choose my friends carefully!
Danica McKellar

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

Eleanor Roosevelt

The big misconception about Self-Worth

Very strangely, a lot of people think that believing and admitting your Self-Worth is nothing but a type of vanity and self-admiration. Which leads them to a chronic self-under-estimation thinking it is the right thing far from the cruel people who love themselves so much.

However, I'd like to say that believing your Self-Worth has never contradicted humility and humbleness. In fact, they have nothing to do with one another. Knowing your Self-Worth is simply the appreciation you feel for being YOU, and the content that fills your heart and mind. you become more self confident and stronger than before ; because you noticed that you've got what makes you secure and able to face this tough world.

I remember the story of a girl (a colleague) who mis-understood the meaning of admitting your Self-Worth.This girl was always under-estimating herself when she felt some pride. Once we had to choose between two Essay topics, One of them was talking about 3 things you think make you unique, she just strangely avoided even talking about it. "It's just vanity and over-self-admiration"She said. Everyone has always respected her, but she never showed true belief in her abilities and in GOD's gifts for her.

Are You Grateful ?

I assume you are, everyone is -I think- or maybe everyone should be!!
If you don't realize what you can be grateful for, you'd better think once again. I'm SURE you'll find what you've been missing.

As For Me:
I'm grateful for quite a lot of things ...
1. I'm grateful for being me: I am very happy about myself and my personality. I thank GOD for creating me as I am. That's why I believe that myself deserves a lot of work and FATIGUE in order to handle what has gifted me by as perfectly as I could.
2.I'm grateful for Health.
3.I'm grateful for Family.
4.I'm grateful for being mentally a lot mature than those of my age: I've realized this fact a while ago... Maybe that's why a lot don't like me, but I'm fine with that!
5.I'm grateful for being Muslim.

To start with , this is just my first article about why did I decide to do this and about why do I want my life like that(I know you don't know what THAT is)*. I think I can also mention how this whole thing started with me.

First : Why writing daily?

I believe the main reason I took this as a serious habit in my life was the influence of Earlytorise.com 's Craig Ballantyne. This man has really changed my life. It all started about a month ago during a 15-Day Vacation before my Exams (I'm a student actually, and I know I'm young for this), but it was nothing but some precious time lost and I really felt I was useless, I was sure there was something I could do to use my time better. I searched the web for some tips when I stumbled upon the treasure I never expected, it was Earlytorise.com. They had a bunch of awesome YouTube videos and about 1000 articles. This website changed my whole lifestyle, but if you ask me about writing it would be the same answer; it was an article by Craig Ballantyne!
Whenever I think of my personal reasons to do this , I feel I'm quoting him, but I'm okay with that.
Personally, I believe that the flow of information is necessary in everyone's life, it's the key to new ideas and to discovering that life can always be better than it is. You can't just live with nothing in your head except Entertainment. I could never imagine my life like that -when I become like that for even one day I feel I am useless. Writing lets you think of many things and lets you search and know more -as does reading of course. It offers a chance to discover yourself and to build up your own original style of writing. It enriches your vocabulary and lets you use your new words.

Second : Why do I want my life like that?

  • I believe I was born with this desire to live this type of life.
  • I've always felt I wasn't in the right place and that I deserved a better life.
  • I realized I should make this great life I've always dreamt of.
  • When  day escapes from me without benefit, I just go mad!!

Why do i think everyone should take their life so serious?

Because it's your time and your LIFE.If you waste it , NEITHER PEOPLE NOR REGRET WILL HELP YOU. CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

*I can write about that in a future article but simply: Check Earlytorise (Youtube Channel ) to know what I mean. (It's a very big topic, they can explain better than I can do)
