Self Respect
Everyone is so special!! Really, EVERYONE....
I am unique in someway, you are in another..
And that's why Self Respect is just so essential to our well being as humans.
Self Respect isn't just the feeling of loving yourself because it's you ..
Self Respect is the first step in the way to self-confidence.

Self Respect isn't just the feeling of loving yourself because it's you ..
Self Respect is the first step in the way to self-confidence.
How to achieve it ?
First, you have to admit that you must be unique, maybe even better than your ideal or role model ...
Naturally, you start searching for what makes you better than others. When you put those reasons clear in front of your eyes, you start gaining confidence and appreciation for being different and special ( Even if your qualities aren't recognized or cared about from the society... You can drive attention to what the society hasn't been noticing )
Eventually, you gain more Self Respect and you believe that GOD gave you a great gift (YOURSELF), that you must be grateful and appreciative for this gift and give what it deserves from you. It deserves respect, love, hard work, and improvement. If you don't care for yourself as you should, then you don't deserve this great gift from GOD.
It's a very simple Equation:
KNOWING YOUR SELF WORTH+IMPROVING YOURSELF+SELF DISCIPLINE=SELF RESPECT+ CONFIDENCE= GREAT POWER TO FACE ANYTHING AND ANYONE
No man who is occupied in doing a very difficult thing, and doing it very well, ever loses his self-respect.
George Bernard Shaw
Self-respect is the fruit of discipline; the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.
Never violate the sacredness of your individual self-respect.
Theodore Parker
I wasn't in school often enough to really belong to a 'clique,' but my friends all studied hard and got pretty good grades. They were good people with self-respect. I still like to be friends with people I admire something about; I really believe that we become like the people we're surrounded by, so I choose my friends carefully!
Danica McKellar

The great thing in the world is not so much to seek happiness as to earn peace and self-respect.

To free us from the expectations of others, to give us back to ourselves - there lies the great, singular power of self-respect.
Never violate the sacredness of your individual self-respect.

The big misconception about Self-Worth
Very strangely, a lot of people think that believing and admitting your Self-Worth is nothing but a type of vanity and self-admiration. Which leads them to a chronic self-under-estimation thinking it is the right thing far from the cruel people who love themselves so much.
However, I'd like to say that believing your Self-Worth has never contradicted humility and humbleness. In fact, they have nothing to do with one another. Knowing your Self-Worth is simply the appreciation you feel for being YOU, and the content that fills your heart and mind. you become more self confident and stronger than before ; because you noticed that you've got what makes you secure and able to face this tough world.
I remember the story of a girl (a colleague) who mis-understood the meaning of admitting your Self-Worth.This girl was always under-estimating herself when she felt some pride. Once we had to choose between two Essay topics, One of them was talking about 3 things you think make you unique, she just strangely avoided even talking about it. "It's just vanity and over-self-admiration"She said. Everyone has always respected her, but she never showed true belief in her abilities and in GOD's gifts for her.
